Lancaster University Stock Condition Survey

Property Tectonics (pt) has been appointed by the University of Lancaster to conduct a full Condition Survey of its buildings and facilities.

The commission to complete the stock condition survey for Lancaster adds to a long list of Universities where pt have undertaken similar work. These include the University of Manchester, the University of Salford, the University of Sheffield and in particular, the University of Oxford, where pt collected the data using the KleurIT system for direct downloading onto the Planon System. Property Tectonics were then able to generate reports by exporting the data into its own Lifespan database systems without compromising any data and affording full interrogation.

In regards to the previous project for the University of Oxford, Nigel Francis, Managing Director of Planon, stated "This was not simply a fabric condition survey, there was also the requirement to collect and validate the M&E asset register for each building surveyed in addition to the survey results. Property Tectonics’ team stepped up to the challenge and after their initial training in using the software - both PDA and desktop components - they embarked on the mammoth task of completing the surveys."
