Air Conditioning & DEC Inspections for West Sussex

Property Tectonics has been working in partnership with West Sussex County Council to provide Display Energy Certificates for all of their Municipal Buildings and Schools.

Moving forward, pt is now carrying out their required air conditioning inspections.

The Council is fulfilling its statutory obligation to provide Display Energy Certificates for all publicly owned buildings over 1000m² and carry out inspections of all air conditioning equipment of a certain output. This latest legislation was introduced by the UK Government to help make the county more energy efficient and satisfy the requirements of the European Energy Performance.

The final extension of this legislation, which has just come in to force, incorporates inspection of all air conditioning units with an output of more than 250kw by 4th January 2009 and 4th January 2011 for units with an output of more than 12kw.
