New Lifespan software gets Government Backing Manchester-based consultancy Property Tectonics (pt) latest software has gained official accreditation from Government. After months of painstaking work pt’s developers completed its new Lifespan RdSAP software, which is used to lodge Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) - now a legal requirement for all buildings being sold or let. The new software is now one of the only five RdSAP software solutions that can be used in England, Wales and Scotland to produce EPCs. Lifespan RdSAP is used by RICS approved Domestic Energy Assessors. pt’s system lodges EPCs on the central Government database via the internet - making it one of the few electronic systems available. Lifespan-RdSAP is also integrated in pt’s housing asset management software, Lifespan-Housing and represents the only fully integrated system of its kind available in the market place. David Bracegirdle, a director of Property Tectonics, said: "The introduction of EPCs has had a huge effect on the way businesses and the public sector manages their properties." "We’ve recognised that ease of use is paramount, especially if organisations have a large property portfolio, which is why our software is web based. Of course, this helps save paper and benefits the environment a little more in the process." Lifespan-RdSAP is one of several other government approved energy software products provided by pt - see Lifespan-SBEM and Lifespan-DEC. |
