Property Tectonics Supports The Cheshire

Property Tectonics has a framework agreement with Cheshire Building Society and acts as principal contractor for maintenance requirements for the branch network and Head Office buildings.

The agreement has been in place since October 2005 and over the course of the agreement Property Tectonics have responsively and successfully maintained the building fabric of the properties for which The Cheshire have maintenance responsibilities.

Over the course of the framework agreement pt’s Maintenance and Facilities team have undertaken condition, water hygiene and radon management surveys at each of the operational branches and uses pt’s web based database to record and manage the information. The team also routinely monitors the condition of confirmed and presumed asbestos containing materials and updates the asbestos register in accordance with Cheshire’s asbestos management plan.

Justin Mole, Property Tectonics’ Helpdesk Manager says "One of the main benefits to Cheshire Building Society in appointing pt as the principal contractor is the ‘freeing up’ of Cheshire’s staff resources. Previous to the framework agreement Cheshire employed a number of direct labour operatives and in addition used several external contractors and consultants. The Cheshire now has one point of contact and only has to process payment for one consolidated invoice per month. This has provided economies of scale and saved The Cheshire considerable transaction costs."
