Property Tectonics is A1 for A2DominionProperty Tectonics and A2Dominion’s relationship goes from strength to strength after being awarded a further large asset management project and professional consultancy work. The A2Dominion Group is one of the country’s leading providers of high quality housing and has had a long standing relationship with pt for over five years. The group was created in 2008, after a merger between the A2 and Dominion housing groups and it now provides over 33,000 homes across London and the southern England and employs over 900 people. Housing options include, but are not limited to, affordable rented, student, sheltered, supported and key worker accommodation, as well as homes for sale and shared ownership. pt has partnered with A2Dominion and its former sub-groups to undertake multi-facet stock condition surveys over a number of years. Services have included Fire Risk Assessments to its estates’ blocks, planned maintenance, decent homes, energy and non-sampling asbestos surveys to many thousands of dwellings. This latest commission is quite revolutionary in so much as some 7,000 dwellings are estimated as being able for survey as opposed to providing information for only around 3,500 using the previous protocol. The latest methodology allows greater intelligence to be obtained at street and block level, than if properties were simply cloned as a desktop back in the office. It also means that 100% of the entire 30,000 dwelling stock could be surveyed over a five year period. Over and above the huge asset management survey project, pt have also secured a contract with A2Dominion for the preparation & delivery of cyclical redecoration work packages. pt’s own in- house software, expertise means we have the ability to develop web based applications, offering a great opportunity to create efficiencies as well as demonstrate innovative ways of working in partnership to deliver a very successful project. pt will act as lead consultant for preparing packages or work, detailed specifications and contract administration duties. In 2009/10 pt carried out fire risk assessments to all block communal areas, managed and owned by A2Dominion. The total number of fire risk assessments completed was over 2,500, all of which are stored electronically in our asset management database, Lifespan. We have now secured a contract with A2Dominion to procure the remedial works identified in the Action Plans, amounting to some 7,000 items. Property Tectonics has for a number of years, offered a main contractor service providing maintenance works to a range of customers and we have a UK wide network of approved regional suppliers and it is our intention to utilise this excellent supply chain to procure the works with great efficiency and effectiveness.
