Leading Property Consultancy, Property Tectonics, Appoints New Director Leading Manchester based multi-disciplinary property and construction consultant Property Tectonics (pt) has appointed Phil Beswick as director. Phil brings 22 years industry experience to pt’s multi-disciplinary team following seven years as a partner for EC Harris where he worked with clients such as the Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide and LandSecuritiesTrilium (less well known but shows that customers are not all retail based). Some of the significant aspects of Phil’s experience have included playing a key role in the bomb damage assessment of Manchester’s Royal Exchange and Arndale buildings following the 1996 IRA bomb, and the development of innovative maintenance management software that is now used by a range of clients across the retail, financial and education sectors . At pt Phil will work on developing its established customer base in the private and public sectors and will lead the North West team. Organisations currently working with pt include University of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, Britannia Building Society and Royal Mail Group and many education, housing and retail clients in the area. Now in its 21st year, pt’s reputation for helping property owners and users get better performance from their buildings is growing at a pace. The company is advising customers in practically every sector and on every type of estate, including historic Oxford University and Eton College and health care premises at Guys & St Thomas in London and Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester. Recent work includes acting as lead consultant on a £10m refurbishment of Britannia Building Society’s headquarter in Leek and undertaking large stock asset management and energy surveys for Six Towns Housing. Property Tectonics’ Lifespan - asset management, energy and asbestos software products are developing at an unprecedented rate and its building control arm, pt Building Standards, is working on some of the biggest projects in the North West, including Urmston Town Centre redevelopment for Ask Developments.
