Surveying Eton College’s Halls Of Fame

pt has a long track record of working in the education sector, from schools to colleges to universities. One of its most interesting appointments is with Eton College - the independent boarding school founded by King Henry VI in Windsor in 1440.

pt’s most recent work included a condition survey which took 3 months assessing the condition of more than 300 buildings on campus. The buildings are steeped in history and tradition and represent some of the country’s most important ancient buildings. Surveying these types of buildings requires special skills. Complete empathy with the technology used when the buildings were constructed and sound knowledge of good conservation techniques are required.

Salma Crisp, senior building surveyor at pt said: "This high profile contract underlines the reputation Property Tectonics has developed in asset management across the education sector and in assessing historic buildings".

"The work we have completed for Eton’s building management team will simplify the process of collecting, collating and reporting asset information, enabling them to be better appraised of the current condition of their property and to plan for its continued maintenance."

Old Etonians include Princes William and Harry, 19 former British prime ministers and Ian Fleming’s James Bond.
