After a comprehensive tender process, Property Tectonics have been instructed by Brent Council to carry out Type 4 Fire risk assessments to 13 high-rise (12+ storeys) residential blocks in the London Borough of Brent.
A Type-4 Fire Risk Assessment is an ‘intrusive survey’ and there is a degree of destructive inspection, in both the common parts and in the flats, carried out on a sampling basis. This will require opening up construction and making good after the inspection.
Property Tectonics has been conducting fire risk assessments for over 30 years as part of its blend of multi-disciplinary professional services which is based on providing customers with fully integrated solutions. pt has developed well tried and tested methods to manage, monitor and control compliance projects.
As part of this commission pt’s Lifespan software will be used by our fire risk assessors to collect information on site, it guides the assessors through the requirements of the surveys and provides information resources on site. Lifespan Housing asset management software will then be used to store, check and validate the data and information collected on the mobile which in turn provides a complete user facility to then compile a full FRA report.
We are delighted to have been chosen to carry out these fire risk assessments and look forward to working with Brent Council.
