Property Tectonics continue Fire Risk Assessment programme with Brent

Property Tectonics has been appointed by Brent Council to carry out a further traunch of Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments to their residential Purpose Built Blocks of Flats and General Needs Street Properties that have been converted to Individual Flats and Houses of Multiple Occupancy (HMOs).

This commission follows two other successful FRA programmes pt has completed for Brent. After going through a comprehensive tender process, pt was appointed in September 2018 to carry out Type 4 Fire risk assessments to 13 high-rise (12+ storeys) residential blocks and again in February 2019 to carry out Type 1 surveys to other properties within the Brent estate.

Property Tectonics has been conducting fire risk assessments for over 30 years as part of its blend of multi-disciplinary professional services which is based on providing customers with fully integrated solutions. Property Tectonics has developed well tried and tested methods to manage, monitor and control compliance projects.

All the commissions include the use of pt’s Lifespan software to collect information on site, guiding pt’s qualified fire risk assessors through the detailed requirements of the surveys and provides an information resource on site. Lifespan Housing asset management software is being used to store, check and validate the data and information collected on the mobile which in turn provides a comprehensive, interactive, web based facility to manage the required building improvements and ongoing fire risk across the estate.

We are delighted to have been selected again to carry out these important fire risk assessments and to be working in partnership with Brent Council.
