Property Tectonics have recently had pleasure supporting Salford Foundation’s ‘Inspired to Aspire’ Mentoring scheme. Four of Property Tectonics’ staff have completed a combination of inspirational group mentoring sessions for 12 to 14-year olds (school years 8 and 9) at Philips High School in Whitefield and All Hallows RC High School in Salford.
The structured, seven-session mentoring programme comprised of interactive activities and discussions covering some of the essential skills needed to be effective at school, in life and at work. These skills included communication, team-building, setting goals, presentational skills, problem solving and resilience. The first six sessions were undertaken in the school and the seventh session involved the students having a site visit to Property Tectonics’ Head office in Manchester where they put together and pitched plans for a music festival.
All the students who took part feel their aspirations have been broadened and their inspiration to aim high and succeed has increased. Property Tectonics look forward to the next mentoring sessions at various other schools and continuing the great partnership with Salford Foundation.
