Property Tectonics provided professional advice to Sandringham School to make a successful planning application to the local authority for the development of a new external 3G Multi-User games area (MUGA). The external 3G Pitch will provide a range of activities such as: Football (11 a side, 7 a side and 5 a side); Disability football; Girls football; Five-a-side football; Walking football; Netball; Hockey; Tag Rugby; Sport Fitness; Futsal; Etc.
As part of the planning process, it was necessary to ensure that the new pitch meets stringent requirements and regulations of both FIFA and the Rugby Football Union (RFU). This compliance was fundamental in ensuring the pitch is FA compliant.
The existing grass pitches were only adequate for spring and summer use, leaving winter and autumn use poorly catered for. The lack of all-weather facilities can lead to a serious effect on the standards of physical education as students are unable to perform to their best ability on poor quality pitches. The school wish to use this new facility to promote and develop opportunities for youth sports and inspire future generations of athletes.
